Karate
Shotokan Karate is the most popular style of Karate in the world! Without Shotokan, many martial arts studios would not exist. Shotokan was also a heavy influencer of early Tae Kwon Do. Shotokan is an effective system of self-defense in its own right. We are with the Shotokan Rengokai under the direction of Greg Bartlett.
Cross train in many systems!
We offer BJJ, Chun Tu Moo Sool, Hapkido, and firearms instruction. If you are looking for something specific, we can likely accommodate you. We are also available for seminars, private lessons, and small group lessons.
Instructor Becca Fine teaches practical self-defense, Hapkido, character development, and ethics. She, like all of our instructors, constantly seeks to learn what she doesn't yet know but also more about what she is already considered a professional at. In addition to being one of our students, she also attends 3-5 martial arts seminars a year ( 50-70 extra hours a year). Instructor Becca has over 20 years of teaching experience in many different formats and is also in the process of writing her first book!
Rebecca Murphy (Third from the left back row) is a high-level brown belt in Hapkido, Shotokan Karate, and Goju Ryu Karate. She also holds an orange belt in Kenpo and a Tan (low brown) belt in Chun Tu Moo Sool.
